Heading to an exotic destination for pre-wedding portraits or to document a wedding is many a photographer’s dream, more so if it is the photographer’s first trip to that particular destination. The landscapes, the people, the culture, all add to the experience for the photographer, videographer and the couple, and all these contribute to the creation of images that will be life long mementos for the couple.

As part of the planning process, be sure to brief your photographer and videographer thoroughly on the destination, particularly if they have not been there before. It will give them time to do a bit of research on locations that will make good backdrops for shoots, learn a little bit more about the place and its people, and perhaps even fly there for a look-see if budget and time permit.
