The desire to experience something different from the norm. This is the main reason that explains why an increasing number of couples are eschewing the traditional wedding ceremony and banquet. Instead, many are embracing the idea of having a destination wedding. A unique locale aside, destination weddings are infinitely more intimate, allowing the couple the opportunity to spend more one-on-one time with a smaller number of guests, who will predominantly be made up of immediate family, relatives and close friends. Rather than having a wedding with a guest list that runs into the pages, these couples prefer to spend a few days at a meaningful venue, amongst those that are closest to them. For many, this is a good enough reason to take on planning far-flung nuptials. Suffice to say, there is definitely something magical about marrying away from home.
